Niddrie, Fish & Buchanan LLP specializes in appellate litigation. The firm handles a wide variety of appellate matters in state and federal courts, including civil and criminal appeals and all types of statutory and common law writs.  The partners are also available to assist trial lawyers with post-trial motions and serve as consultants on cases with appellate potential.  Each of the firm's partners has been certified as an appellate specialist by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California.  Members of the firm have valuable experience working for state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. All have served as research attorneys for the California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One, in San Diego. Two of the partners have also served as law clerks for federal district court judges, and one spent two years as Staff Counsel to the United States Supreme Court.
